Design consulting

Use the design know-how of Putzier Oberflächentechnik GmbH to optimize endangered components and protect them from failure. Through thermal spraying, we extend the performance limits of your existing machines and systems. For this purpose, we analyze your requirements and conditions on site and develop demand-oriented solutions together with you.

Our engineers, technicians and skilled workers bring years of experience in various industries to the table. Particularly important: Our skilled workers are trained as European Thermal Sprayers, so they have to undergo regular further training and annual theoretical and practical examinations – a plus for your safety and confidence in our know-how.

Materials Consulting
Materials Consulting

Since 1981, Putzier Oberflächentechnik GmbH has been helping its customers to find optimum material combinations. So far, this has not only saved our customers money, but also a lot of time.

A practical example: To seal a paper machine, Putzier was to coat a stainless steel ring. We recommended that the customer choose a ring made of inexpensive mild steel and then coat it all around. The ring was subsequently much cheaper, and the coating also served as corrosion protection.

The example shows: Highly stressed surfaces can be protected or modified by thermal spraying so that they can withstand even the highest loads. If the coating materials are selected correctly during production, the customer saves a lot of money: The costs caused by machine downtime are reduced in the long term. Only surface technology enables optimization in both directions through different materials for component and surface.
